Co-Curricular Activities

At Forest Gate, we believe that co-curricular activities are an essential part of a student's journey, fostering both personal and academic growth. Our diverse and enriching after-school programme is designed to help students fly, grow, connect, and strive, empowering them to reach their full potential in all aspects of life.

We offer four distinct strands to our co-curricular timetable, ensuring every student can find an activity that aligns with their passions and interests:

Academic

Our academic activities encourage students to grow intellectually by engaging in stimulating challenges that expand their knowledge and curiosity beyond the classroom, nurturing a lifelong love of learning.

Sport

The sports programme at Forest Gate encourages students to strive for excellence, whether they are competing at the highest level or enjoying recreational sports. By participating in team and individual sports, students develop physical fitness, resilience, and sportsmanship, all while building lifelong healthy habits.

Creative

The creative strand empowers students to fly by expressing themselves through art, crocheting and music. In a supportive and inspiring environment, students build confidence, explore new talents, and connect with their inner creativity.

Leadership

Our leadership activities inspire students to grow as leaders by developing essential life skills such as communication, teamwork, and an understanding of current affairs. Through taking on leadership roles and participating in collaborative projects, students learn how to inspire others and take responsibility in both academic and social settings.

Why Get Involved?

Participating in co-curricular activities provides a wealth of benefits for students:

Physically: Engaging in sports and physical activities helps students grow stronger, healthier, and more resilient while boosting mental well-being and reducing stress.

Socially: co-curricular activities provide opportunities for students to connect with peers from different backgrounds, developing important social skills and building lasting friendships.

Emotionally: By participating in a variety of activities, students build self-esteem, confidence, and emotional resilience. They learn to overcome challenges, celebrate successes, and maintain a positive attitude in both their academic and personal lives.

Whether you're looking to compete, create, lead, or simply explore new interests, our co-curricular programme offers the perfect opportunity to thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.
