Remembrance Day Poppies

We have a new display in our reception area of clay poppies sculpted to commemorate Remembrance Day.

The small plinths list the names of 'The Unremembered' - a group of men and women from the Labour Corps who were essential to the war effort but whose contribution and sacrifice is all but forgotten today.

Inspired by the installation at the Tower of London, the poppies have been handmade by Year 8 art students during carousel time.
